Where donations go
We’re a small, volunteer-run coalition. We don’t have staff salaries, an office, or a marketing budget. Donations translate directly into:
- Materials for community clearing days — chipper rentals, hauling, PPE
- Home-hardening subsidy program — helping fixed-income households cover materials for vent replacements, ember-resistant screening, and non-combustible zone gravel
- Educational content production — printed guides, Spanish-language materials (planned), workshops
- Grant matching — many wildfire-prep grants require 10–25% cash match from the applicant

Note on tax-deductibility. SRV Firewise is currently working toward 501(c)(3) status. Until that’s granted, donations are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions in the technical sense. If tax-deductibility matters to you, contact us — we can route your donation through a fiscal sponsor.
